A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on January 29, 2018 by and between FPT School of Business (FSB) – FPT University in Hanoi, Vietnam, and the College of Staten Island (CSI) of the City University of New York (CUNY), United State of American. The MOU marks the development of partnership between two institutions.
The College of Staten Island was established in 1976 through the union of two existing colleges—Staten Island Community College and Richmond College. The College of Staten Island is a senior college of The City University of New York (CUNY) offering from bachelor to doctoral programs in business, education, and health sciences… CSI has 4 campuses, in which the Willowbrook campus, the largest one, is fully equipped with high technological infrastructure to support technology-based teaching, learning, and research. CSI is ranked 3rd in New York State by Money Journal for Best Colleges, rank 6th nationwide on College Net’s Social Mobility Index, and “Top Master’s University” as ranked by Washington Monthly, in the Top 15% for Alumni Salary Potential according to Payscale.
According to the MOU, FSB and CSI will set up academic cooperation including implementation of training programs, exchange of faculty and students, joint research programs, publications and conferences.
In March 2018, as part of the academic collaboration, FSB will send a group of senior executive students to CSI as the second phase of training, after the first one conducted at FSB. The program includes training with top professors in management, visiting multinational companies based in NYC, and seeking for business opportunities in The US. It is expected to help Vietnamese students to gain updated knowledge, experiences and have more chances of cooperation and investment from the leading economy of the world.
